An immunotherapy that involves genetically modifying a patient’s T-cells to recognise and attack cancer cells is known as Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell therapy. It is a form of groundbreaking treatment that has shown significant promise in treating blood cancers, but in some instances this therapy is also used to treat varying diseases & disorders. In addition to CAR-T, various cell therapy drugs treating cancer already exist. T-Cell therapy is currently advancing in the treatment of certain blood cancers, autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders and infectious diseases. Here I am going to cover the benefits of T-Cell therapy in diseases pertaining to and beyond the scope of oncology.
