This ASSET Meta-Analysis Course will cover the following topics in five (5) sessions. \n\n1st Session\nWhat is Meta-Analysis?\nSignificance of  Meta-Analysis\nWhat is Qiagen Data Base (QKB) and Ingenuity Pathway analysis (IPA)?\n\n2nd Session\nCreation of My Pathway\nGrow\, Trim\, Connect and Keep Features\nPath Explorer\nHow to Sign Up for IPA?\nAssignments\n\n3rd Session\nAssignments Check\nFiltering the Searches\nRelationship Types\nShortest Path & Shortest Path +1\nOrganization of Data\n\n4th Session\nAssignment Check\nWhat is Molecule Activity Predictor (MAP)\nMAP Effects on Upstream and downstream Molecules\nAssignments\n\n5th Session\nAssignments Check\nRecap of the Course\nMeta-Analysis Quiz* (Winners $60\, $50 & $40 for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd places\, respectively\, and a Certificate of Completion from ASSET)\nNote: To qualify for “Meta-Analysis Quiz”\, students must attend all five (5) sessions.\nWorkshop Pre-requisite:\n          *Thorough knowledge of Biology \n\nWorkshop Content: With an exponential growth in life science research data\, familiarity with bioinformatics has become an exciting as well as a popular skill set both in industry and academia. To increase learners’ competencies and to get them familiarized with data science professions we implemented a set of bioinformatics (meta-analysis) exercises into a hands-on workshop. Meta-analysis exercises were designed to teach participants to navigate bioinformatics databases such as Qiagen Knowledge Base (QKB)\, use built-in tools\, analyze data\, and perform simulation using Molecular Activity Predictor (MAP).
