Hypothesis of the presentation is that the African continent is splitting into two parts because the Nubian and Somali plates of East African Rift are diverging at an average rate of 7mm or (0.2 inches) per year causing the land within the valley to sink. When it splits, the smaller portion containing Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, the eastern parts of Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique where the valley ends may drift away and hit the Indian west coast, eventually forming a mountain range as big as the Himalayas. This phenomenon will change the climate of the west coast of India from hot to cold and will give rise to new species of flora and fauna. Also, a new ocean will be emerged in between Nubian and Somali plates.
